Weather Update: IMD has predicted light rain in Delhi these days

New Delhi: The scorching heat is expected to subside in the national capital as the change in western disturbance is likely to bring down the temperature in the coming days, Meteorological Department scientist Kuldeep Srivastava said on Tuesday. Heat wave-like conditions are prevailing in the Delhi-NCR region for the last two days. Even today the temperature in South West Delhi, North Delhi and North East Delhi is said to be around 45 degrees. IMD scientist Kuldeep Srivastava told ANI that there is a possibility of a drop in the temperature due to light drizzle and strong winds in the coming days.

“The Western Disturbance is knocking over North West India. Its effect has started appearing in Jammu and Kashmir. It will affect North West India, Delhi-NCR and North Rajasthan on 24th and 25th May. Cloudy and Light Light Will be too.” It may also rain,” IMD Delhi regional chief Kuldeep Srivastava told ANI.

He said that 1-2 cm of rain may occur in these plains and this may bring down the temperature by 4-5 degree Celsius. Strong winds will also blow, whose speed can be around 40-45 km. The Western Disturbance is moving slowly. In such a situation, it will have its effect in Delhi NCR on May 26 and 27 as well. Although there will be a slight increase in temperature, it will be cloudy and light rain may occur.

“During this period, there is also a possibility of hailstorm in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, areas of Punjab adjoining Himachal Pradesh and some areas of North Rajasthan. Thunderstorm and lightning will also occur in Delhi NCR on May 24 and 25,” he added. ,
