story of kerala Released almost a month ago and is still making headlines every other day. The Sudipto Sen film faced protests right after its trailer release for its controversial claims that 32,000 women from Kerala were converted and sent to Saira. This created a social and political storm.
Despite all odds, the film has now collected over Rs 224 crore at the box office. But that doesn’t mean the criticism has faded. Recently, Indian cinema superstar Kamal Haasan commented on the film and described it as a ‘propaganda’ film. Director Sudipto Sen finally reacted to her statement.

in an interview with Hindustan Times, The director revealed that he has stopped responding or explaining to callers story of kerala a propaganda film. He argued that those who earlier termed Adah Sharma’s film as ‘propaganda’ are now calling it ‘good’, while ‘those who haven’t seen it are criticizing it’.
“There are so many silly stereotypes in our country… that life has to be black or white, they don’t know that life exists in shades of grey,” he added. Sudipto Sen further revealed that people from 37 countries along with political parties like BJP and Congress are liking the film.

He also said that he has ‘no regrets’. Indirectly referring to Kamal Haasan’s statement, Sudipto Sen concluded, “One indulges in propaganda by calling it a propaganda film without watching it and forming an opinion. What other words than hypocrisy or pettiness! I have stopped explaining to them.
