We’ve all heard the classic saying that just keep going and finish projects even on the days you’re not in the mood. Otherwise, it’s easy to develop a routine of procrastination.
In conversation with Zee English, author and entrepreneur Mr. Nidhi Dalmia, who shares strategies to stay motivated and inspired as a writer.

Mr. Nidhi says, “Inspiration comes from within. We all have stories to tell. I wanted to write about the universality of human emotions and sensibilities.”
Here are some writing tips from a writer who’s been there:
To stay motivated, one sometimes has to imagine himself as an actor in a real-life drama being shown on stage. It has to be a part and it has to be lived. Shakespeare said – “All the world’s a stage…”
One has to believe in himself and the story to stay motivated. Have to drown in it.

Every word has to be carefully considered. Can’t do any waffle or pad. Quantity is not important, quality is important. Therefore, honesty matters.

Don’t worry about the critics. One cannot please everyone. Enough readers have to like it.
Often in life the most beautiful relationships are threatened by other interested parties and events. Jealousy and competition, inevitable friction may ensue. Inspiration comes from dealing with such stresses. Sometimes the ending can surprise. Or it may not be. The reader will have to keep guessing.
One has to maintain the momentum to maintain the motivation.
There should be discipline in sitting down without interruption and writing a certain time or a certain number of words every day, even if some days it is not that good. Every day will not be the same.
