New Delhi: Actor and Bigg Boss 7 contestant Sofia Hayat was recently taken down after undergoing a major operation to remove a cyst from her abdomen. Sophia, who is also a singer and a television personality, said she was in excruciating pain, not even able to walk, sneeze and urinate. The actor mentioned that he had a 6 cm cyst removed and the operation was quite intense.

Sofia shared some of her post-surgery pictures and showed off a huge scar on her stomach. She also mentioned that the surgery showed her who her real well-wishers were, adding that her own family did not stand by her when she was struggling with her health.

“I did a short shoot showing my scar. I am very proud that I have full energy back after the massive operation I went through to reach this point, where my intestines were literally put on my stomach and 7 cm benign. She said that during difficult times, only her maids and neighbors took care of her.

“After 5 days in the hospital, I was bedridden for 3 weeks. I was lonely during this time as I have no family. Again I had neighbors who walked my dogs for me and helped me. Even that my house servant also helped me when I went for a walk outside my house. After 10 meters my body started trembling and I could not walk anymore. Luckily I had my phone with me and I called her. Another The neighbor saw me and she helped my maid to carry me home. It was really humbling and very difficult psychologically. Sofia also revealed that actress Udita Goswami, who has featured in films like ‘Aksar’ and ‘Zeher’, offered to take care of her at her home.

In July last year, Sofia faced a major health scare when she had to be hospitalized due to low salt levels in the body. The former actress, who quit showbiz in 2016 to embrace spirituality, was fasting when her body salt dropped dangerously below. Reports said that he was taken to the hospital after he fainted. The actor reportedly started trembling and felt dizzy while observing the fast.
Sophia, who was then in the UK, was given five packets of salt and then revived. This fasting was a part of his spiritual practice and it was an unexpected event that his health deteriorated. Now he has been discharged from the hospital and at present his health is improving.
