The Deol family is now gearing up to celebrate the wedding of Karan Deol, the elder son of senior actor Sunny Deol and his wife Pooja Deol. As reported earlier, Karan will soon be tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend Drishti Acharya. The couple’s wedding festivities began earlier this week with a pre-engagement ceremony, and it was followed by an intimate haldi. On Friday night, the Deol family celebrated Karan and Drisha’s union with a grand sangeet and several Bollywood celebs including Ranveer Singh attended the event.
Ranveer Singh hugs warmly
The young Bollywood superstar who is said to be a close family friend of Sunny Deol and his family attended the grand sangeet ceremony of Karan Deol and Drisha Acharya along with his sister Ritika Singh Bhavnani. However, his wife Deepika Padukone did not attend the event due to her busy schedule. In a video that is now going viral on social media handles, Ranveer Singh is seen having a fun conversation with host Sunny and warmly hugging the senior star. The Gadar actor, on the other hand, with a wide, happy smile on his face, is seen enjoying Ranveer’s presence and their interaction. Later, the Gully Boy actor was also seen interacting with other guests and clicking selfies with them.

Karan Deol and Drishti’s wedding
As per reports, the young couple, who are childhood sweethearts, have opted for an intimate wedding with only their family members and close friends. Karan Deol and Drishti Acharya, who is the great-granddaughter of legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy, will tie the knot in a traditional Punjabi ceremony on Saturday, June 17. The couple is expected to host a reception on June 18 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Ranveer Singh’s work front
The versatile actor recently wrapped up shooting for Rocky and Rani’s love story, the upcoming Karan Johar directorial, which marks his second onscreen collaboration with popular star Alia Bhatt. The first teaser of the project is expected to be out on June 20. Later, Ranveer Singh will start shooting for the upcoming Baiju Bawra directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
