New Delhi: Hours after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s jibe in the US that ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start explaining to God’, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday accused him of ‘insulting India’ during his foreign visits. Gandhi, who is on a week-long visit to the US, said some groups in India have a “disease” of the illusion that they know everything.
Rahul Gandhi said at an event in San Francisco, “If you make him (PM Modi) sit next to God, he will start explaining to him (God) how the universe works…and God will be confused that I What have you made.” ,
Hitting back at former Congress President Anurag Thakur, Anurag Thakur said that Rahul is unable to digest the fact that Australian PM Anthony Albanese had called PM Modi ‘Boss’ during his recent foreign tours.
“During his foreign visits, Rahul Gandhi insulted India. PM Modi met around 24 PMs and Presidents of the world and recently had more than 50 meetings during his foreign visits and when the Australian PM said that ‘ PM Modi is the boss’, then Rahul Gandhi could have done this. It is not digestible,” news agency ANI quoted Thakur as saying.

Addressing people of Indian origin at an event in San Francisco, California, the former Congress MP said, “In India, we grew up with people of different languages, different religions. And that is what is being attacked.” People like Gandhi ji and Guru Nanak ji have been of the belief that you should not have the illusion of knowing everything. It is a ‘disease’ that some groups in India think they know everything. Even though they talking, they can explain it.”

Minorities are being attacked in BJP government: Rahul
Gandhi was answering a question from the ‘Bay Area Muslim Community’ during an event in Santa Clara, California. The Congress leader said, “The way Muslims are being attacked, I can guarantee that Sikhs, Christians, Dalits and Adivasis are also feeling the same. What is happening to Muslims in India today is no different from what happened in the 1980s.” I happened to Dalits.” Taking a dig at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government, Rahul said it was “threatening” the people and “misusing” the country’s agencies.
Gandhi accused the BJP and the RSS of dominating all political apparatus in India. He said that he understood that the common methods used in politics in the past were not effective before he started his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
