In countries and regions other than the United States, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia, Microsoft has announced that the price of the Xbox Series X console will increase on August 1. In addition, the price of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription programs will increase starting July 6 in most markets. Since the launch of the service in 2017, Microsoft has not changed the price of Xbox Game Pass until now.
The pricing changes are in line with the competitive landscape in each region, according to Kari Perez, Microsoft’s games PR manager. Since Microsoft’s console pricing hasn’t changed for several years, this change is an attempt to bring it in line with current market trends.
