In what could be a bigger blow to the Indian cricket team ahead of the World Test Championship final against Australia, skipper Rohit Sharma suffered an injury to his left thumb during a net session on Tuesday. According to Rev Sports, Rohit has been kept under medical observation after suffering the blow. There is no confirmation yet on the extent of the injury, so nothing can be said about Rohit’s availability as of now.
Physio Kamlesh attended him after the blow and after a while Rohit was once again seen wearing gloves, meaning it should not be too serious. The WTC final will be played at The Oval, London between Team India and Australia.
Reports suggest that the skipper skipped a practice session on the eve of the first day of the World Test Championship final against Australia after injuring his thumb. A clear picture of Rohit’s availability should emerge in the next few hours for the blockbuster finale between India and Australia.
