Shubman Gill hit a 58-ball century against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday and soon after, a picture of the youngster along with Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli surfaced online and went viral across the internet. The RCB star batsman took to Instagram to write “the future is here” a few months ago after the young Gujarat Titans batsman scored 126 runs for Team India in the shirt format of the game. Gill didn’t stop there as he went on to score three centuries in ODIs followed by a double century.
The Gujarat Titans opener has continued his blazing form in this year’s IPL as he continues to score runs. He scored his first century of the tournament against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday and is being praised by many current and former cricketers. With the help of this century, the defending champions team put 188 runs on the board in 20 overs. The Hardik Pandya-led side won the match as Sunrisers Hyderabad fell 34 runs short of the target.

Gill had revealed in an interview that he idolises Virat Kohli since childhood and he is an inspiration to the young Indian batsman. The star Indian batsman also said that he has always looked up to the former Team India skipper and meeting Kohli for the first time was a huge moment for him.
