New Delhi: It was a pleasant Sunday morning in the national capital and its surrounding areas as it rained in Delhi-NCR. Visuals of heavy rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorm in Delhi emerged on social media in the early hours. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain and gusty winds with a speed of 30-50 kmph would occur at most places in Delhi and adjoining areas.
RWFC New Delhi predicted light to moderate intensity over entire Delhi and adjoining areas of NCR (Loni Dehat), Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Narwana, Karnal, Rajound, Assandh, Safidon, Barwala, Jind, Panipat, Hisar, Gohana, Ganaur Rain is predicted. Hansi, Sivani, Maham.
Sonipat, Tosham, Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mattanhel, Jhajjar, Palwal, Aurangabad, Hodal (Haryana) Saharanpur, Gangoh, Deoband, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Kandla, Khatauli, Sakoti Tanda, Hastinapur, Baraut, Daurala, Baghpat, There is a possibility of rain in Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithore.
Monsoon will reach Delhi-NCR!
Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days. According to IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Delhi from June 25 to June 27.
