The actor surprised the audience by announcing that he is taking a year off from acting to freshen up and recharge. Holland also spoke at length about shooting the Apple TV+ series, which is reportedly based on real-life crimes committed by a man named Billy Milligan who was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.
“It was a difficult time, for sure. We were discovering some emotions that I had never experienced before,” Tom Holland said in his interview with Extra. The actor added, “And then even more On top of that, being a producer, dealing with the day-to-day problems that come with any film set, adds that extra level of pressure.”

The talented actor in his chat with Xtra also talked about turning producer for the first time with The Crowded Room. “I’m no stranger to hard work. I live by the idea that hard work is good work. Again, the show broke me. There came a time when I needed a break and disappeared and went to Mexico Gone. A week and spent time at the beach and relaxed,” said the actor. “I’m taking a year off now, and it’s a result of how difficult this show was. I’m excited to see how it turns out. I feel like our hard work was not in vain,” He concluded.
