Taapsee Pannu calls out director K Raghavendra Rao for his midriff obsession
It is a known fact that director Raghavendra Rao is obsessed with showcasing the midsections of his heroines. Not only this, it is also common knowledge that in his films, flowers and fruits are thrown at the midwife of an actress. But when Taapsee Pannu reiterated this, she was mercilessly trolled and attacked on social media.
The Aadukalam actress had talked about her Telugu debut in an interview with East India Company in 2017. She spoke in a more jocular tone than the accusatory one about Raghavendra Rao throwing a coconut at her midriff during the first day of shooting. The first scene the actress shot was a song sequence in which a coconut was thrown at her midriff. Taapsee further added that she was aware that the director is known to throw fruits and flowers at an actress’ midriff. But when she reached there, she was shocked to find that instead of flowers and fruits, coconuts would be thrown at her.
The actress further added that she doesn’t know what’s so sexy about it. The trolling that the actress received for sharing the incident soon spiraled out of control. Several Telugu media sites and filmmakers started making statements against the actress for her comments about Raghavendra Rao. The trolling reached such an extent that Taapsee had to apologise.
