So far Apple hasn’t said anything about the Beats Studio Buds Plus, but they’ve already been spotted in at least one store in the US – which is about as good a confirmation of their existence as you’re going to get out of one. have been Official press release.
tech tipster Ben Geskin (opens in new tab) (via MacRumors) Best Buy was supplied with photos of the wireless earbuds, though it looks like they’re being stocked ready for sale, and can’t actually be purchased right now.
This indicates that a launch is imminent and most likely in the coming days. The Beats Studio Buds are making their debut in June of 2021, so we’ve been waiting for the upgrade to arrive for quite some time at this point.

color and battery life
first image and a follow up picture The reveal shared by Geskin shows that the Beats Studio Buds Plus will be available in white or black colors, as well as a transparent style, with definite Nothing Ears (2) vibes.
On the box we can see that there is a mention of 36 hours of battery life with the help of Active Noise Canceling and Case. They tick two features off our wish list for these earbuds – the original version only lasted 15 hours with the case battery.
The details in this latest leak match what we learned from an earlier Amazon listing that was supposed to precede it. That listing put the Beats Studio Buds Plus price at $169.95 ($20 more than the Beats Studio Buds), with a May 18 launch date.
Analysis: A solid upgrade in store
As you’ll learn from our best wireless earbuds list, it’s a competitive space right now. Apple knows this best, as it puts out the AirPods and AirPods Pro as well as earbuds that come with the Beats brand.
Nothing’s official yet about the Beats Studio Buds Plus, but based on what we’ve heard so far, we’d say they’re shaping up to be a solid upgrade. It doesn’t look like the design will change much, but that’s not really a problem.
If these new earbuds offer better battery life and noise canceling as promised, then the slight increase in price is more than acceptable. They’ll also apparently support “Hey Siri” voice commands, which is another welcome touch.
We also like the new transparent option, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but certainly stands out from the norm (the latest Nothing earbuds aside). As soon as Apple announces it officially, of course we will let you know about it.
