Shahid Kapoor is unquestionably one of the most talented actors of Bollywood, and made his debut with the 2003 film Ishq Vishk. He has acted in several blockbusters and superhit films in a career spanning 2 decades. However, did you know that before making his debut, he appeared in several films as a background dancer. Shahid also performed in a blink of an eye in the song Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaye from the 1991 film Taal, starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He was one of the dancers who were seen in the song with a white dupatta around Aishwarya. In a recent interview, Shahid recalled shooting with Aishwarya for the song and called it the best and worst day of his life.

Speaking to Radio Nasha, Shahid Kapoor said that he was on his way to shoot for the song Taal when he met with an accident. He fell off his motorcycle, and was very nervous when he arrived on set. “Nobody knows this, but I had an accident that day. I used to ride my bike and I fell off. So, I remember being very nervous on the sets because I had fallen and I was thinking, what just happened to me? And this happened to me that day. I will always remember this as the worst and best day of my life.
Before Taal, Shahid Kapoor was seen as a background dancer in Dil To Pagal Hai. He was a member of the Shiamak Davar dance troupe at that time. He recalled that he had just joined the troupe, and was a novice, which was why he was nervous all the time. “I was a nervous wreck, just hoping I didn’t mess things up,” he said.

Shahid was last seen in Raj and DK’s series Farzi, which marked the actor’s OTT debut. It also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Rashi Khanna. He will next be seen in Bloody Daddy, which releases on Jio Cinema on 9 June.
