Shah Rukh Khan has completed 31 years in the Bollywood industry. On the occasion, Shah Rukh surprised his fans as he conducted another #AskSRK session on Twitter on Sunday evening.
Shah Rukh Khan made his debut in 1992 with Raj Kanwar’s Deewana, which also featured Rishi Kapoor, Divya Bharti and Sushma Seth in pivotal roles.

On Tuesday, Shah Rukh wrote on Twitter: “Wow, just realized it’s been 31 years to the day Deewana hit the screens. It’s been quite a ride, mostly good. Thanks everyone and can we #AskSRK for 31 minutes??”

A fan shared a clip from the film Deewana, in which Shah Rukh Khan is riding a bike and dancing along with other actors on a busy road, while the song ‘Koi Na Koi Kehi Pyaar Karne Wala’ is playing in the background. He asked, “Sir how does it feel when you see this epic entry of yours. It’s been 31 years and it still thrills us #AskSRK.” To which King Khan replied with a unique tweet and wrote, “Should have worn a helmet!!!”

In an old interview with Filmfare, Shah Rukh said this about Deewana. “I am happy that the film has done so well. But I do not think that I have contributed in any way to its success. My performance was loud, vulgar, and uncontrolled. I overreacted and I take full responsibility for it. But this is what happens when you work without graphs. I didn’t even have a script. I was supposed to start shooting for the film much later but then some of my other schedules got canceled and I allotted my dates for this film. I am my own worst critic and was surprised when I saw myself on screen. Isn’t it amazing that people liked me in the film? Maybe it’s because I’m a newcomer. It’s not a performance I’d like to repeat or remember.”
Furthermore, he was asked whether the film’s success was influenced by its music, to which he replied, “Of course. I wish people could say ‘the film’s music is good but Shah Rukh is better.’ But in Deewana, the music overcame everything. Credit must be given to director Raj Kanwar for the picturisation of the song. Rishi Bhai also performed well, as did Divya Bharti, Deven Verma and Amrish Puri. But if the film I remember it would be because of Nadeem Shravan. A lot of films are running because of his music. I would love to be in his place now – to be as successful as an actor as he is as a music director.”
