One of the worst train accidents in the history of Indian Railways occurred in the state of Odisha on Friday, June 2.
Over the past few days, the accident site has been investigated for inquests and to try to rescue anyone who was there at the time of the accident. During the process, rescuers also found some loose sheets of a heart-wrenching love poem.
Rescue workers search the belongings of victims at the scene of a train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district, as they find strewn sheets of paper with love poems written in Bengali on the tracks next to a crumpled coach of the Coromandel Express.

Poem
Alpo alpo megh theke halka bristi hoy, chhoto chhoto golpo theke bhalobasa srishti hoy (scattered clouds lead to light rain, while we hear from love short stories),” read the handwritten poem.

A separate unfinished poem read, “Bhalobeshi toke chai sarakhon, Achis tui moner sathe,” on a separate piece of paper. (With affection, I always need you; You are always on my mind.

On one page, there were additional drawings of elephants, fishes and the sun which appeared to be doodles made by a passenger on board a train.
