Jaipur: Former Rajasthan minister Rajendra Singh Gudha’s announcement that he will reveal the secrets of the ‘Lal Diary’ in the state assembly on Monday has taken political leaders and the common man by surprise. Gudha has been in the discussion about this diary since Sunday after his dismissal from the post of minister. Taking a dig at Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Gudha said, “If I had not been there that day, you would have been in jail and not on the post of chief minister.”
Gudha further reminded the Chief Minister that he himself had said on his son’s birthday that ‘if Rajendra Gudha had not been there, I would not have been the Chief Minister’.
On Sunday, at the foundation stone-laying ceremony in Bamlas village of Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu district, Gudha said, “Hey Chief Minister, that day you had said that everything is in my hands. If Rajendra Gudha had not gone to the ninth floor and brought out the red diary among 150 CRPF jawans by breaking the gate, you would have been in jail today.”

Expressing his dismay, Gudha asked the chief minister, “What did I say… I just said that women are being raped in Rajasthan. You sent me to the assembly so that I could speak the truth.”
Gudha said, “Our sisters and daughters voted me and sent me to the assembly. Pointing to the women, he said – I have reached the assembly with your votes. I am the representative of the people of this Udaipurwati. I will continue to fight for the people with all my might till death.”
The former minister said, “We helped them form the Congress government in the desert state in 2008 and 2018. The Congress did not have a majority. We helped them come to power by bringing in MLAs from other parties to the Congress.” Gudha, a former BSP MLA, had joined the Congress in 2008 along with six BSP MLAs and helped form the government in Rajasthan.
In 2013, he contested on Congress ticket and faced defeat, after which he went back to BSP. Gudha contested on BSP ticket and won. However, this time too he left the party and joined Congress along with five MLAs.
Gudha said, “RPCC president Govind Singh Dotasara says that Rajendra Gudha is associated with the BJP. I say if Vasundhara ji (BJP leader) and Gehlot ji meet there is no problem, but when BJP MP Narendra Khichar and I sit here, there is a problem.”
