Indian head coach Rahul Dravid reflected on the hard work of the Indian team during the last two years to reach the final of the World Test Championship 2023. India will compete against Australia from June 7 at The Oval, London. The match will be played over five days and if the weather is bad, a reserve day is also kept.
With two years of dedicated hard work and many ups and downs, the team’s relentless efforts have finally taken them to the pinnacle of the sport. Reflecting on his experience as a coach, Dravid also shared his joy in working with a fantastic group of players, building strong relationships and seeing the development of experienced and young talent.

In a candid chat with Star Sports on ‘Follow the Blues’, Team India coach Rahul Dravid talks about the remarkable journey that has taken the Indian cricket team to the final of the World Test Championship.
Speaking exclusively to Star Sports on ‘Follow the Blues’, Team India coach Rahul Dravid spoke about the team’s efforts to reach the final of the World Test Championship, saying, “Playing this game again Exciting for all the players. I think it’s two years of hard work that got you to play one match. Two years of cricket involves a lot of Test series, and things need to go your way. To be able to go through so many ups and downs during the season and then again to have the opportunity to play this game, I think it’s definitely deserved and the boys definitely earned it.”
The Team India coach talked about his experiences coaching the Indian side and how his journey has been, he said, “Yeah, it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve enjoyed it and it’s great working with people. It’s a really great group to do and build something against. Really good relationships with a lot of the players. It’s really cool to be a part of their journey as well as there are so many different people at different stages in their careers. Our We’ve got some experienced players, we’ve got a lot of youngsters coming through as well over the last 18 months,” Dravid said exclusively to Star Sports on ‘Follow the Blues’.
“We’ve had to use a lot of players because of the three different formats and the amount of cricket that India plays. There’s a lot of players coming in and out of our system, it’s really exciting and for me as well It’s been a great learning experience. During these 18 months, I’ve learned a lot about myself as a person and also about coaching, so yeah that’s something I thoroughly enjoyed,” Dravid signed off. .
