Mumbai Indians players mock LSG, Naveen-ul-Haq, hilarious ‘mango’ jibe before being removed

Mumbai Indians (MI) emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2023 Eliminator clash. Qualifier 2 against defending champions, Gujarat Titans.

After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma decided to bat first. The team posted a competitive score of 182 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Cameron Green was the top-scorer for MI, contributing 41 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav played a crucial role with 33 runs.

Interestingly, Mumbai Indians had never managed to beat LSG in their last three matches. However, in this crucial match, they took advantage of the favorable conditions and bundled out LSG for 101 in just 16.3 overs.

After their stupendous win, MI players took to Instagram to celebrate their win. In a now deleted post, MI pacer Sandeep Warrier shared a picture of Vishnu Vinod and Kumar Karthikeyan. The highlight of the photo was a table decorated with mangoes, symbolizing the “sweet season” of success.

The lighthearted laugh originated from LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who had earlier shared Instagram stories of him clutching “sweet” mangoes after LSG’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Naveen also posted a video mocking RCB and their skipper Virat Kohli after they lost to Gujarat Titans in the league stage.

The friendly social media exchange added an amusing twist to the rivalry between the two teams. MI’s comprehensive win on the field and their playful celebration off the field showcased the camaraderie and spirit of IPL, where competitiveness is balanced with moments of fun and pranks.
