The audience loved watching him as Shrikant Tiwari in the series Raj and DK. The second installment was also a huge hit among the audience. Now, ahead of The Family Man 3, Manoj has revealed in an interview that his wife Shabana Raza was afraid that the series would ruin his career.
‘Why are you ruining your career?’
Speaking to Indian Express, Manoj revealed that his wife was not really keen on doing The Family Man series. He revealed that he decided not to work for eight months to prepare for the series and it became an issue for his wife Shabana. He said, “They (Raj and DK) sent me two episodes, and I liked it and started making notes. I think Srikant Tiwari’s character notes are the ones I made the most. Would go back to the notebook and pen it down. I had also decided not to work for eight months and was working a lot. So now, it became an issue for my wife.”

He said that his wife felt that he was ruining her career. Manoj said, “She thought I was doing a serial and asked me what is this OTT. I told her it is different and she said, ‘What is the need of money? Why are you ruining your career?’ Everything is going well, you will finish everything. She used to tell me. I think she didn’t realize the power and potential of OTT until she saw the first season of The Family Man.
The Family Man 2 also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a pivotal role. Netizens were impressed with his performance. Manoj recently revealed that he will start shooting for the third season this year.
Meanwhile, Manoj’s film Sirf Ek Banda Koffi Hai received an overwhelming response on OTT. Seeing the positive response and huge demand, the makers decided to release the film in limited theatres.
