Khaled car accident and health update: Singer’s mother reveals new details about her son

Khalid’s family has provided additional details regarding the recent car accident involving the popular singer. In an interview with ABC-7, his mother, Linda Wolfe, shared details of the incident and provided an update on Khalid’s ongoing recovery.

Khalid’s accident, details

According to his mother, on the day of the accident, Khalid was reported to have experienced car troubles as his vehicle overheated. Following the safety protocol, he pulled over to the side of the road.

Unfortunately, while sitting on the passenger seat of the stationary car, another vehicle collided with them. Although Khaled suffered minor injuries in the accident, he is now focusing on his recovery and has temporarily taken a break from performing on stage.

The news of Khalid’s accident was first reported by fellow musician Ed Sheeran. As part of Ed Sheeran’s ongoing tour, Khalid was to perform as one of the opening acts.

However, on June 23, Sheeran informed fans on his Instagram Story that Khalid would not be able to join him on stage for his Landover, Maryland show on June 25. The Shape of You singer has spoken about the change in plans while sharing this update. for Khalid’s accident.

Rather than let logistical challenges or delay the concert, Ed Sheeran took a more productive approach. During the show, Sheeran surprised fans with his opening act.

He took the stage earlier than expected and treated the audience to a captivating acoustic set that lasted nearly 30 minutes. The performance included songs from their latest album, – (Subtract). The set also included the poignant and deeply emotional track Sycamore, which reflects on his wife’s battle with cancer.

Ed Sheeran wishes Khalid a speedy recovery

To make sure fans attending the concert were kept informed, Ed Sheeran took several opportunities to address Khalid’s accident. In a video captured by a fan, Sheeran took a moment to address the crowd and share his hopes for Khaled’s speedy return. He also mentioned that he expected Khaled to join him in Boston.

In another video recorded by a fan, Sheeran was captured acknowledging the progress of Khalid’s recovery and offering his best wishes. After the concert, the Galway Girl singer also posted about it on Instagram, writing: “DC, I was my own opening act this weekend and it was so much fun doing it.”

He continued, “Hope @thegr8khalid is recuperating and doing well. What an awesome one, shoutout to me too Mini! See you at the Boston Guys X.”
