On 9 May, director Shankar shared an update about Indian 2 on Twitter. The actor has started shooting for the Silver Bullet sequences in Chennai. Earlier, he had shot the climax of the film in South Africa.
The film is a continuation of Indian, which released in 1998 and will present a new episode in the life of Kamal Haasan’s character Senapati. Indian 2 is a pan-India film and will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.
