Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad reiterated his stand on the ongoing tussle between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over the scheduling of the ODI World Cup, among other things. It all started with the BCCI not sending a team to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. This was due to security concern. Pakistan, despite being the initial host of the tournament, will host only four matches of the tournament as it has been decided to organize it under the hybrid model. Sri Lanka is the co-host. Ever since the day the BCCI President issued a media statement that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, PCB officials have been fuming. From Ramiz Raja to Najam Sethi, the board presidents have tried their best to woo other members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to their side, but all such efforts have been in vain.

In response to India not going to Pakistan, the PCB had warned the International Cricket Council (ICC) that they too would not travel to India if the venue of the Asian tournament was changed. According to a new report, the Pakistan government is also ‘monitoring and evaluating’ Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup. The Pakistani cricket community, including Miandad, is fuming over the development. Miandad wants PCB to boycott the World Cup to send a strong message to ICC and BCCI.
In a lengthy Twitter post, Miandad criticized the Indian cricket board, saying “India can go to hell”. He said that it was India’s turn to visit Pakistan but he never responded ‘just like that’.
“Pakistan has come to India in 2012 and now it is the turn of Indians to come here in 2016. If I had to take a decision, I would never go to India to play any match, even the World Cup. We Are.” Always ready to play them (India) but they never respond in the same way. Pakistan_

We Are.” Always ready to play them (India), but they never react like this. Pakistan cricket is big, we are still producing quality players. India can go to hell. I don’t think it will matter even if we don’t go to India, it doesn’t matter to us,” Miandad wrote.
The Pakistan cricket legend urged the board members to take a firm stand against the BCCI’s reluctance to come to Pakistan for a game of cricket. “I always say that one cannot choose one’s neighbours, so it is better to cooperate with each other. And I have always said that cricket is a game which brings people closer to each other and countries He wrote, “There was a thought that they would not send their team to Pakistan again for the Asia Cup, so now the time has come for us to take a firm stand.” ”
