Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) sealed their place in the IPL 2023 playoffs by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by one run despite Rinku Singh’s aggressive batting. The win took LSG’s tally of points to 17 from 14 league matches. Unfortunately for KKR, their hopes of making it to the playoffs were shattered with this defeat. LSG are currently in third place, three points ahead of fourth-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, the win for LSG was not enough to overtake CSK, who had already pulled off a convincing win over Delhi Capitals earlier in the day and secured their playoff spot. Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians are in fifth and sixth place respectively in the points table. In the playoffs, GT will face CSK in Qualifier 1, while LSG will take on either RCB, RR, or MI in Eliminator 1. ,
