Vicky Kaushal gave a poignant and memorable performance in his debut Hindi film Masaan. The actors got nostalgic as the film completed eight years today. Directed by Vicky Kaushal, Masaan also starred Richa Chadha, Shweta Tripathi and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles.
As Masaan crossed the milestone of a glorious eight years, Vicky Kaushal, who played Deepak Kumar, a Varanasi boy from the Dom community whose family works at the cremation grounds, went down memory lane and shared a picture from the film on his Instagram handle.
Vicky Kaushal’s Masaan turns 8!
Vicky on Monday took to Instagram to share an interesting picture from the film Masaan. In the picture shared by Vicky, he can be seen in the character of Deepak, standing on the ghat looking at the burning pyre. Along with a sad picture from the film, Vicky wrote, “8 years!” along with a red balloon emoji.
Moments after Vicky shared the picture on his social media handle, his fans and followers flocked to his comments section and praised the film as well as Deepak’s top-notch performance in Masaan.

Directed by Kaushal, the film also stars ‘Dangal’ girl Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.
