On Tuesday, the first look at the cast and characters of John Wick’s prequel series The Continental was revealed.
Award-winning illustrator Yuko Shimizu has created an exclusive piece of fan art to celebrate the release of the first look at John Wick spinoff series, The Continental. Shimizu expressed her excitement for the opportunity to collaborate on the project with the OTT platform, as she is a huge fan of the John Wick franchise. The Continental Hotel plays an important role in the series, and Shimizu wanted to feature it as the main character in her artwork. He also hinted at the danger, intrigue and drama that viewers can expect to see as Winston’s origin story unfolds.
A three-part series is set to explore the origins of the famous hotel-for-murderers, which serves as the centerpiece of the John Wick universe. The show will be based on the experiences of a young Winston Scott who is forced to confront his past in 1970s New York City. Winston explores the hotel’s dangerous underworld in an effort to gain control and eventually become its leader.
The series stars Colin Woodell as young Winston, replacing Ian McShane. A newcomer, Ayomide Adegun, plays Charon, previously played by the late Lance Reddick. The cast also includes Mel Gibson, Michel Prada, Jeremy Bobb, Ben Robson, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allen and Hubert Point-du Jour.
