New Delhi: Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, best known for ‘The Kashmir Files’ and his views, believes the Hindi film industry needs to make some radical changes in its approach to making films.
On Tuesday, Vivek responded to a tweet on his Twitter account of the poor performance of the multiplex chain in the previous quarter. The director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ has once again attacked Bollywood for killing the essence of Bollywood.
He tweeted, “Bollywood is killing Bollywood. Now even if Bollywood stars, khandaans and kings don’t introspect and cut 80 per cent of star prices and invest it in R&D and writing, nothing will give them Won’t save. #bittertruth.”
Earlier, like his opinion, ‘The Kashmir Files’ also received polarized reactions with the most famous being at the 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa, when jury member Nadav Lapid called the film an “obscene” piece of propaganda.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vivek Agnihotri is preparing for the release of ‘The Vaccine War’. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 15, 2023, in 11 languages.
