‘Bhediya’ actor Abhishek Banerjee talks about his mother’s least favorite role of an actor

New Delhi: Abhishek Banerjee is one such actor who has always played his characters and played them well. Though he has played a variety of characters, be it Jaana, Hathoda Tyagi, or Jaffa, each character he has played has made us believe that they are real. Recently, the actor revealed that his mother didn’t like him after playing the role of Hatodha Tyagi. Imagine how real it felt to Banerjee that her own mother fawned over his crude portrayal.

Talking about the same, Abhishek Banerjee says, “My mother didn’t like my role as Hothoda Tyagi in Paatal Lok. He said – what are you doing in Hathoda? But he liked my role in Bhediya.” He further added, “Earlier I used to think memes are just for entertainment, but when Hathoda Tyagi memes went viral, I understood it means respect.”

Abhishek Banerjee has always thrown himself into all the characters he has played. Filled with anger, rage and fury without a doubt, the audience could easily become intimidated by the character.

Hathoda Tyagi in ‘Paatal Lok’ web series is a historic hit considering that the character did not speak much and still managed to send shivers to the audience. This character is one of the biggest hits that Banerjee has given and has etched itself really well in the minds of the audience.
