New Delhi: Kajol is not only a versatile actress but also an influential icon whose thoughts influence people, especially women. In a career spanning over three decades, she has always come across as a headstrong individual who lives her life the way she wants.
In an interview with ANI, the ‘DDLJ’ star spoke about how his maternal lineage helped him become a strong person. “I never paid attention to ‘log kya kahenge’ in my life. I was brought up by a wonderful mother. I was brought up by a mother who didn’t care at all about society. Really I had an amazing maternal lineage. My grandmother and my mother’s great-grandmother, each one of them have always behaved well and taught me by example that no one else matters, your life,’ said Kajol from my side. It’s your responsibility and no one else’s opinion on that matters.
Kajol does not believe in handing over the command of life to someone else. “First, take responsibility for your life… Your actions are your own, not determined by society. Second, at the end of the day, society has to accept what you make of your life and that’s what my great-grandmother and she said , “Grandma lived her life. The two had surprisingly different views on life and the world. My mother literally lives her life to this day. I am trying to live my life like him.”
