Another big Mira contract is with Nintendo World, which uses its headset for Mario Kart Ride at their theme parks in Japan and Universal Studios in LA. Mira’s headset displays virtual characters and items from the game as you move through it.
Apple has brought on at least 11 employees from Mira as part of the acquisition, according to a private post on CEO Ben Taft’s Instagram account, with several employees displaying badges. “Excited for the next chapter of merry, Apple :),” he wrote in the caption. “A 7 Year Journey From Dorm Room to Acquisition.”
