American Idol contestant Way Annie was voted out prior to the season finale, prompting viewers to claim that the show was rigged. Furious spectators argued that we deserved to be in the top three and questioned Colin Stuff’s ability to play.
Here’s what happened on the singing reality show:
Hum and fellow contestant Zachariah Smith were eliminated during the program on Sunday, while Colin, Megan Daniels and I’m Tongi all advanced to the finals of Idol the following week.
Hum, 24, sang Into the Unknown from Frozen II at an event that fit in with the Disney theme, after being read by guest mentor Sophia Carson. The judges complimented her performance, with Lionel Richie calling her a “star” and Katy Perry praising her voice.
Hum’s second act featured an orchestra and a rendition of Miley Cyrus’ song The Climb. When we couldn’t make it to the top three, the audience got upset and took their anger out on Twitter.
Fans fume over Wee Annie’s ending
One person tweeted, “This show is rigged.” Way Annie should definitely win this season.”
“We think Anne is the best singer on American Idol,” said another. She is the Whitney Houston of her generation. He cannot be compared to Colin or Iam. “American Idol has been rigged.”
Others on Reddit agreed that we deserved more space than Colin.
A user said, ‘We got robbed…’. Colin has a marketable skill set. He’ll undoubtedly release a few albums, but come on. There is no point in him being in the top three.”
Some users supported Wei Ani’s elimination round.
However, other fans applauded Colin, with one saying, “Colin deserved it.” He has been improving steadily throughout the season.”
“I hate country music, but Colin has had a more memorable performance this season than us,” said another.

What is the American Idol controversy?
Judge Carty was called out late last month for “rude” behavior towards Wé. The singer was appalled when she was selected as the final contestant to advance to the Top 12 and neglected to provide criticism after her performance.
We were selected from Dawson Wayne, Elijah McCormick and Malik Hurd as one of 12 contestants who advanced to the next round. The camera panned over to Katy Perry, who was sitting at the judge’s table and was stunned by the news. We then ended the night with Skyfall by Adele.
Instead of commenting on her performance, Carty said she was “shaken” by the election results and invited people to vote for their favourites.
