Rendar Token (RNDR) Up 15% Weekly, Bitcoin (BTC) Up $27K (Weekend Watch)

After hitting a recent multi-week low below $26,000, bitcoin has outperformed and even reached near $27,000 earlier today.

Most of the alternative coins have also registered minor gains on the daily scale. RENDER Token has emerged as the best performer of the week from the top 100.

Will BTC Challenge $27K?

Bitcoin tried several times to lower the resistance at $27,500 last week but to no avail. The latest rejection came on Tuesday, and it was a violent one.

This first pushed BTC south below $27,000 before the bears took complete control of the market and sent the asset south to a two-week low of $25,900. The bulls finally decided to act at this point, and they prevented any further decline.

Quite the contrary, bitcoin started to gain some traction and jumped above $26,000 almost immediately. There was another minor gain in the last 24-hours which took the asset above $26,900. However, the cryptocurrency has so far been unable to challenge the $27,000 resistance line and sits a few hundred dollars below it.

Its market capitalization is less than $520 billion, while its dominance over altcoins is still 46.2%.

RNDR, HT Double Digit Weekly

Most altcoins posted modest gains over the past 24 hours, similar to bitcoin. Ethereum fell below $1,800 a few days ago but managed to reclaim that level yesterday. Another minor increase since then has pushed the second largest crypto to $1,830 so far.

Dogecoin, Solana, Polkadot, Litecoin and Shiba Inu followed with similar daily gains. Ripple, Cardano, Polygon, and Avalanche all jumped slightly more – up to 2%.

Looking at the chart on a weekly scale, the two most notable gainers are RENDER Token and Huobi Token. Both are up 16% and 13% respectively. In the case of HT, this is probably due to the recent positive news regarding the exchange.

The total crypto market cap has also seen a slight increase and is up to $1.120 trillion as of now.
