But in 2022, NIT Patna grabbed headlines for its record-breaking placement package of Rs 1.6 crore.

With 110% overall placement in 2022, NIT Patna breaks its own record. Prior to Aditi Tiwari, Patna resident and NIT student Sampriti Yadav was given a package of Rs 1000 by Google. 1.11 crores. Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on university placements. For two years, the pandemic had a significant negative impact on the campus recruitment process. However, according to the officials of NIT Patna, there has been a significant increase in the number of high paying positions offered during the placement sessions as compared to last year. 2021 has been the best year in terms of placements. The placement drive was set for 2021 at an ‘all time high’. The institute had received 700 bids from 150 companies, with a selection rate of 112%. Many big companies including Facebook, Adobe, Amazon and Paytm participated in it. According to the officials, placement is not an important concern for the students.
