Filmmaker Mahavir Jain recently talked about Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Speaking about the actor, the producer recalled that he had put his life at risk in the 90s. Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Jain revealed that the film industry was ruled by the underworld in the 90s. He further added that the stars had to accept the invitation and attend their parties in the Middle East. However, Aamir did not accept any of those invitations and refused to attend. He said, Aamir put his life at stake. “He never agreed to it. He is a man of principles.”
The producer even said that Aamir was particular towards his principles. He said that when the actor was doing the TV show Satyamev Jayate, he refused to endorse certain brands. The producer, who backed films such as Ram Setu and Good Luck Jerry, said Aamir felt any commercials coming in between his shows would dilute the seriousness.
Mahavir Jain said that Aamir stays away from name, fame, money and power. He said that he is not a part of that caste. Describing him as a wonderful human being, the producer also shared that the actor is greatly misunderstood. He said, ‘Whoever knows Aamir bhai personally, will say the same thing.’
Meanwhile, Aamir stays away from the screen. Last year, after the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, the actor announced that he would be taking a break from the film as he wanted to spend time with his family.
