The team responsible for bringing Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords to Nintendo Switch has announced that its long-awaited restored content “will not be moving forward” to DLC release.
In a statement shared on Twitter, Aspire Media thanked the “immense passion and support for the Knights of the Old Republic series” and revealed that it was “eternally grateful” to the community despite the fact that “this timeless series was Nintendo was “sadly” not moving forward with plans to port the DLC.
As the Restored Content DLC — which began life as a fan-made PC mod — features a lot of content stripped from the original game several years ago, it was eagerly anticipated, with many fans citing that The promise of DLC was one of the main reasons they bought the Switch port in the first place.

“Sadly, today we are announcing that restored content for the Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords will not be moving forward to DLC release,” the statement explains, adding that no No further details were given that the DLC was cancelled.
“We want to thank everyone for their continued support by offering a complimentary video game key to players who purchased Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords on Nintendo Switch prior to this announcement.”
Players haven’t been offered a refund — which hasn’t gone down particularly well with some community members — but have been offered one of seven other Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games. However, many fans say they already have those titles on other platforms and would love to get their money back.
At the time of writing, Aspire has not responded to complaints, either individually or collectively.
