Odisha train accident: Salman Khan, Jr NTR, Akshay Kumar and others express grief over the ‘heartbreaking’ tragedy

So far more than 230 people have died in train accidents in Odisha. Three trains collided on the tracks and more than 900 people were injured. The three trains were Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train. Reportedly, the coaches of the derailed Coromandel Express collided with the goods train, which was stationary. The tragic incident took place in Odisha’s Balasore district and can be termed as one of the biggest rail accidents in India.

After the accident, social media was flooded with condolence messages from around the world. Bollywood celebs like Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood and others expressed their grief on their respective social media handles. South stars like Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, Rashmika Mandanna and many others also reacted to the horrific accident.

Salman wrote, “Really saddened to hear about the accident, may God rest the souls of the deceased in peace, protect and give strength to the injured and families affected by this unfortunate accident.”

Akshay Kumar posted, “Heartbroken to see the visuals of the tragic train accident in Odisha. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My condolences and sympathies to the affected families in this difficult time. Om Shanti 🙏🏻.”

Jr NTR tweeted, “Heartfelt condolences to the families and their loved ones affected by the tragic train accident. My thoughts are with each and every one affected by this devastating incident. May they find strength and support in this difficult time.”
