Shahid Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming thriller film Bloody Daddy. During an event before the film, Shahid said that he does not like his children Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor to watch his work. He also revealed the real reason why his wife Mira Rajput wanted their kids to watch Jab We Met when it was re-released recently.
In an interview with a leading news portal, Shahid Kapoor said that he does not like his children to see him much. In fact, his kids asked him why people keep coming to him since they haven’t seen much of his work. He also revealed that he had recently seen Jab We Met in the theatres.
He revealed that his mother took him to watch the film as Mira wanted him to watch it. He said, “She was like ‘this is a movie where you don’t like to kill people and do all this intense stuff. It’s a family kind of movie, so I want them to go and watch it'”. So, actually, I think that was my first film that he saw.”
Jab We Met was a 2007 romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were in the lead roles in this film. In February 2023, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the film was re-released in some theatres.
Shahid’s next film Bloody Daddy, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, also stars Diana Penty, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia, Ronit Roy and Sanjay Kapoor. The film will be released on OTT on 9 June 2023.
Meanwhile, apart from Bloody Daddy, Shahid will be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s untitled next alongside Kriti Sanon.
