Coming back to the on-field developments, Chennai Super Kings displayed a clinical performance to end their IPL 2023 league-stage campaign at the second spot. In the first qualifier, he defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs. The two rivals once again faced each other in the final of IPL 2023 but the result did not change even in the summit clash. With 13 runs needed off the final over, Ravindra Jadeja hit a four off the last ball of the contest to seal a five-wicket win for the MS Dhoni-led side. Chennai’s New Zealand batsman Devon Conway was named man of the match for his crucial 25-ball 47 in the final.
