Varun Dhawan excited to shoot an action sequence in Serbia for Citadel

Varun Dhawan is all set to star in the much-awaited series Garh. The series is directed by director duo Raj and DK and also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role. Recently, in an interview, Varun Dhawan revealed that he will soon be heading to Serbia to film a high-octane action sequence.

While talking to a leading news portal, Varun shared his happiness about working on Garh. Additionally, he mentioned that it was a first for India, which the audience had not seen yet. Varun said, “Working on it has been amazing. We are going to shoot the film in Serbia. We have a month-long schedule with a lot of action.” Varun also said that the makers are “pushing the envelope”. He continued to refer to Samantha as “one of the hardest working actors”.

He also talked about his upcoming film Baawal and said that he is proud of Baawal. He said that there are some directors who are on his bucket list ie Sujit Sircar, Sriram Raghavan and Nitesh Tiwari. She added that some of her best performances came out when she worked with him because he pushed her. He said, “It’s amazing and I feel blessed to be working with Nitesh. Personally, Baawaal is a film that I am very proud of. It says something that is the need of the hour.”

Varun will be sharing the screen with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time in Nitesh Tiwari’s Baawal, which is set to hit the theaters in October. He will also be seen in the Indian installment of an American series Citadel.
