New Delhi: Actor-director-writer-producer Rishabh Shetty, who became an overnight sensation after “Kantara”, appealed in a public forum for a film city in Bengaluru.
Rishabh was invited as a panelist at the 9th Sewa Sushasan Garib Kalyan National Conclave organized by the Ministry of Broadcasting and Information to highlight that the mighty power of India’s youth, Yuva Shakti, is igniting a transformative wave across the country.
This is where Rishabh spoke about how the industry is getting support from the government and also requested for making a film city in Bengaluru.
The theme of this year’s conclave, ‘Youth Power: Galvanizing India’ was addressed by each of the six panellists and Rishabh was the sole representative from entertainment and cinema.
Addressing their request, Rishabh said, “It is a challenge to reach the audience and we are getting support from the government. But there is also a need for a Film City in Bengaluru.”
At the conclave, Rishabh was joined by Oyo Rooms founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal, Patiala gharana musician Aman Ali Bangash, former Indian hockey player and national captain Viren Rasquinha, Caxpert co-founder Yashodhara Bajoria and boxer Akhil Kumar.
The phenomenal success of “Kantara” ensured that it not only emerged as the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time and the third highest-grossing film of 2022 across India, but also resulted in the Government of Karnataka declaring Ghost Announced a monthly allowance for artistes above the age of Cola. 60 years.
Rishabh is now working on “Kantara 2” apart from other projects in the pipeline.
