After hitting his third century in IPL 2023, Shubman Gill went past Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Faf du Plessis’ impressive score of 730 to clinch the coveted Orange Cap. With an impressive tally of 851 runs from 16 matches, Gill is currently sitting at the pinnacle of the leading run-scorer charts this season, and it is highly anticipated that he will retain his position till the end.

Also, Gill has the potential to break Virat Kohli’s long-standing record of most runs in a season, which the RCB legend achieved in 2016 when he scored 973 runs in 16 matches. Notably, Kohli registered an extraordinary four centuries during that season. Gill, having already scored three hundreds, has an opportunity to match Kohli’s feat if he manages to score another hundred in the IPL 2023 final against CSK, thereby establishing himself as his idol. I take you in the same league.
