The temperature will be above normal in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha and North India.

Meanwhile, the Delhi airport has announced that several flights have been affected due to inclement weather.

“In June, rainfall across India will be less than 92 per cent, which is below normal. Temperatures are likely to be above normal over states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Orissa and North India, with temperatures likely to be above normal The completion is 70-80 per cent,” news agency ANI quoted RK Jenamani as saying.

The IMD had earlier said that monsoon is expected to set in over Kerala on June 4 and it is likely to be normal this year.
