At Google I/O, the tech giant announced some long-awaited Generative AI upgrades to its platform, including Google Search. The new search with AI, known as Search Generative Experience (SGE), will include AI-powered snapshots that will be useful for everyday queries, purchases and more.

At the event, Google said that SGE would be made available to a new program, Search Labs, to access early experiments in the coming weeks. On May 25, Google began rolling out its SGE via email to waitlisted users.
How to Join the Search Labs Waitlist

If you see the error message “Search Lab isn’t available for your account right now,” it may be because you’re signed in to a company Gmail account. Once you’ve signed out of your company email, you’re ready to move on to the next step.
Once you are on the homepage, you will want to click on the “Sign In” blue button on the top right hand corner. Log on using your personal Gmail account.
After signing in, you’ll be taken to a page where you can actually join the waitlist by clicking on the “Join Waitlist” button. Once you do, you’re all set.
Now that you’ve joined the waiting list, all you have to do is wait. Be sure to continually check the email associated with the account you used to join the waiting list. This is how you’ll be notified if you’ve gained access.
