Legendary rock ‘n’ roll star and huge 1980s pop icon Tina Turner has died at the age of 83 after a long illness. A statement was also posted on her Instagram account to announce Tina Turner’s death. The post celebrating his music and legacy drew millions of condolences to his family. Some Bollywood celebrities also mourned the demise of the pop star and paid tribute.
Celebs took to social media to pen down their heartfelt messages for the late singer. These included actress Malaika Arora, director Madhur Bhandarkar, singer and composer Salim Merchant and a few others.
Malaika took to her Instagram stories to bid an emotional goodbye to the singer and shared her picture with “my rock idol”. You’re the best.” He shared another picture of Turner with the caption, “Magnetic powerhouse of a voice..a legend! Tear up.”

Madhur Bhandarkar, on the other hand, took to Twitter and penned an emotional note for the late pop star. She tweeted, “Rest in strength and peace, #TinaTurner you gave us incredible music, energy and spirit. You will always be missed and cherished.”

Meanwhile, Salim Merchant also shared a picture of Turner on his Insta stories with the caption, “Rest in Power, Tina Turner. Your music & spirit will continue to inspire generations to come #TinaTurner #RestInPower #MusicLegend.”

Tina Turner has won numerous awards in her career, including 12 Grammys and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, he was also honored at the Kennedy Center in 2005 and has been voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
