LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq bowled sensationally for his team against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Chepauk on Wednesday as he took four wickets for 38 runs. During the fixture, Naveen celebrated the famous ‘Shut the Noise’ celebration after dismissing MI skipper Rohit Sharma and middle-order star Suryakumar Yadav.
Later, when Naveen was fielding at the boundary, a section of the crowd started chanting Virat Kohli’s name, to which the LSG pacer reacted.

Impact player Nehal Wadhera’s crucial late blitz of 23 off 12 balls, including 14 in the final over, helped Mumbai Indians post a challenging 182/8 against Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2023 eliminator encounter at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Delivered. on Wednesday.
At one stage, Mumbai looked all set for a 200-plus total as they reached 98/2 at the halfway stage. But Naveen-ul-Haq halted Mumbai’s charge, using his slower deliveries to take 4/38, with Yash Thakur and Mohsin Khan taking 3/34 and 1/24 respectively.
Apart from Vadhera’s blistering hit in the end, Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav scored 41 and 33 respectively, while Tilak Verma scored 26 off 22 balls for Mumbai.

Naveen delivered the knockout punch in the 11th over – an off cutter tempted Suryakumar and sent him to the hole at long off, followed by another slower delivery to Green through the gate. This led to a slump as Mumbai got only 26 runs in the next four overs, although Tilak hit Ravi Bishnoi for a massive six over deep mid-wicket.
The left-handed batsman proceeded to hit Naveen for a six before Tim David joined the party in the 17th over with a square-drive four off Thakur. But the pacer bounced back in the same over when David was dismissed at long-on off a full toss, followed by Naveen’s delivery in the next over to Tilak in similar fashion.
Wadhera removed Thakur twice for fours and hit a six over deep square leg to take Mumbai to 180 in the final over, before being slotted over deep point off the last ball of the innings.
