Virat Kohli played one of the best T20 innings of his career, bringing up his 7th century in the format and 6th in the Indian Premier League. Kohli is criticized for being too slow in the format, however, the India batsman scored 100 runs at a strike rate of around 158 to silence his critics. Kohli’s brilliance helped Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets as the visitors chased down the target of 187 with ease. Twitter heaped praise on the ‘Chess King’ Kohli and one of the tweets included praise for Mohammad Amir. Amir called Kohli ‘The Only Real King’ which triggered a social media war between fans of Kohli and Babar Azam.

Babar still ahead of Kohli
Babar Azam has completed nine runs in T20. Three of which have come in international cricket. Kohli, on the other hand, has seven T20 hundreds to his name and is two behind Babar in the race. Kohli also has only one T20I century to his name, which he completed in Asia Cup 2022 vs Afghanistan.
How can RCB qualify for IPL 2023 playoffs?
RCB have done themselves a huge favor by winning the match against SRH on Thursday night. They now have 14 points from 13 matches and need one more inch closer to the playoffs. Getting 16 points will still not ensure their qualification as Mumbai Indians (MI) can also get the same number of points on Sunday night. Hence, even though RCB defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in their last league encounter, they will have to wait for the result of MI vs SRH encounter to know their fate in the championship.
