Project K is titled Kalki 2898 AD, the first look of which is out now

The first look of Prabhas’ project K was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday. The team of the project revealed the title, teaser and release date of the film at the event.

Now the name of the film has been told as Kalki 2898 AD. The first trailer of the film shows Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in a futuristic world. It featured Deepika, Amitabh and Prabhas as warriors in a war-like setting. Kalki 2898 will release in AD 2024.

Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Rana Daggubati attended the event. According to reports, Deepika Padukone will not be attending the event due to the ongoing strike by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artistes (SAG-AFTRA) in the United States. The actor is a member of SAG-AFTRA.

The project was the first Indian film to make its debut at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Prior to the event, a billboard in New York City’s Times Square read, “First look July 20.” Several pictures of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Rana in the US had earlier surfaced online when they arrived in the country ahead of the event.

A day before the release of the first trailer of Project K, Prabhas was spotted at a party in the United States, where he interacted with fans. The filmmakers reportedly gave fans a glimpse of the film during an opening night party on 19 July.

Nag Ashwin is in charge of the project. In a previous statement about the event, he had said, “India is home to some of the greatest stories and superheroes ever written. We feel our film is an attempt to bring that to the fore and share it.” with the world.
