As confirmed in their recent announcement, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved the fourth orbit raising operation of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft.
ISRO on Thursday revealed a remarkable achievement in India’s ambitious lunar mission, according to reports India Today. The maneuver called Earth-bound perigee firing was conducted from the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru. This achievement brings Chandrayaan-3 one step closer to its destination Moon.

The upcoming firing is planned to take place between 2 PM to 3 PM IST on July 25, 2023, as part of the ongoing mission operation.

Chandrayaan-3 is equipped with scientific instruments designed to investigate various aspects of the lunar surface.
These instruments are designed to analyze the thermophysical properties of the lunar regolith, lunar seismic activity, the lunar surface plasma atmosphere and elemental composition near the lunar landing site.
