New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Heavy to very heavy falls are also likely over the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh during next 3 days.
IMD predicts light rain in Delhi NCR
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Shahadra, Vivek Vihar, Preet Vihar and Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula in NCR.

IMD says heavy rains to continue in Himachal for next 5 days
Scattered heavy rains will continue over Himachal Pradesh for the next 5 days with no respite expected anytime soon. Uttarakhand, which has been receiving heavy rains for the past few days, will receive heavy rains during the next 24 hours.
Heavy rains will continue in Rajasthan, Gujarat
According to IMD, heavy rains will continue over East Rajasthan during the next 3 days, while West Rajasthan is likely to receive heavy rains on July 18 and 19. The IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Gujarat on July 19 and 20.
IMD issues orange alert for Maharashtra
IMD has issued Orange Alert for Maharashtra as heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the state during the next 5 days. “Heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur over Konkan and Goa during July 18-21, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during July 18-20,” the IMD said in its daily weather bulletin.

isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Coastal Karnataka from July 17 to July 21 and over Interior Karnataka on July 19 and 20; in Telangana from July 17 to July 20; From July 18 to July 20 over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala and Mahe.
The IMD has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Jharkhand and Odisha in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains are likely to continue over Odisha during the next five days.
