Talented Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who recently sizzled on the silver screen in Adipurush, is all set to play the legendary Meena Kumari in this upcoming biopic.
As per reports, the prestigious film production company T-Series headed by Bhushan Kumar is backing the film. Currently, the project is in the process of scripting.
The film aims to honor the captivating life of Meena Kumari, the tragic queen of Indian cinema. According to a report in a leading news portal, Manish Malhotra has often expressed that it has been his “long-cherished dream” to recreate the alluring aura of Meena Kumari.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kriti has an exciting lineup lined up. She will be next seen in Vikas Bahl’s Ganpath – Part 1 alongside Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan. She will also be seen in Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Tabu. Additionally, she has an untitled film with Shahid Kapoor in the pipeline, slated to release in October 2023. Besides this, Kriti will also be sharing screen space with Kajol in her first production venture.
